At Onsted Wildcats Soccer, our coaches are the heart of our program. Whether you’re an experienced coach or volunteering for the very first time, we’re here to help you succeed. Our goal is to provide the resources, encouragement, and support you need to create a fun, safe, and positive experience for every player.
No Experience? No Problem!
Many of our coaches are parents and community members volunteering for the first time. You don’t need to be a soccer expert to make a lasting impact. A positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

Coach Expectations
- Put player safety and well-being first.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship.
- Create a fun, positive learning environment.
- Help every player improve at their own pace.
- Communicate with players and families.
- Represent Onsted Wildcats Soccer with integrity.
Coach Requirements
To help provide a safe and positive environment for all participants, all OWS coaches and assistant coaches must complete the following requirements before participating with a team:
- Complete a background check.
- Complete SafeSport training.
- Complete CDC HEADS UP Concussion Training.
- Agree to follow the Onsted Wildcats Soccer Code of Conduct.
- Register as a coach through GotSport
